PhD candidate in Neuroscience | Entering year: 2020 | Research interests: sex differences in disease risk, autism genetic risk changes throughout sexual differentiation during development, how genetic mutations in disease can lead to better sex-specific treatment for various neuropsychiatric disorders.

Phaidra is a first-year MBA student from Tampa, Florida. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a BS in Business Management. She loves to travel, challenge her friends to cook-offs, watch Korean Dramas, and spend quality time with her family in her spare time.

Zo is a first-year MSW and MSP dual student, concentrating in Domestic Social and Economic Development. A 2014 graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Social Thought and Political Economy program, Zo is interested in analyzing complex systems of power and domination and collaborating with others to dismantle structures that reproduce inequality and oppression. PhD Candidate in French Language and Literatures | Entering year: 2020 | Research interests: regional French of Louisiana and francophone Africa, exploring the aesthetics of their representation in literature and cinema; stylistic devices employed by literary texts and cinematic works and how they influence language trends in former French colonies.

PhD candidate in Organizational Behavior | Entering year: 2018 | Research interests: Organizational Purpose & Social Change, Communication & Relationships, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

PhD candidate in Public Health Sciences | Entering year: 2019 | Research interests: nutritional epidemiology and communication of female reproductive infections and disorders.

Sandra is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive engagement strategies for our graduate and professional students by leveraging data analytics to inform engagement strategies, and optimizing TGC's resources to enhance graduate and professional student programming, recruitment and retention.

She is a recent WashU alumna who graduated with her PhD in German and Comparative Literature. Sandra enjoys computational analyses and translates her passion for storytelling into building data stories and communicating insights.

Jessica provides day-to-day leadership of the university-wide graduate fellowship programs housed in The Graduate Center.  Jessica works with graduate students interested securing external funding by designing structures to enable students to more easily discover and pursue external funding opportunities.
