Feedback is an essential and crucial part of the dissertation writing process. The best feedback can both develop and strengthen our work while also helping us better understand the academic conversations and readers of our respective fields. At the same time, we’ve all received feedback that was confusing or contradictory and that may have stymied our voices. In this workshop, we will reflect on both types and talk about how to manage the multiple forms of feedback one experiences in the dissertation writing process, and how to navigate that feedback in a way that contributes to our growth as writers and scholars.
This workshop is appropriate for all PhD students, regardless of discipline.
Registration is required; lunch will be provided.
