Africa United Graduate Association

The purpose of Africa United is to create a community and sense of belonging for African graduate students at Washington University in St. Louis; to provide strategies on how to adjust to life and graduate school in the US; to foster an academic, professional and social environment for graduate students from Africa and those of African descent to facilitate an interactive relationship between faculty, staff, alumni, and graduate students from Africa and those of African descent; and to serve as an aid in advocating the needs and concerns of graduate students of African descent to the Graduate Professional Council and the Graduate Center.
