Every Monday at 4pm throughout Fall, join the Graduate Center for a curated Reorientation Series! Check out the schedule below for dates and resource descriptions!


All sessions will meet in The Graduate Center. Snacks and light refreshments will be served.

  • September 8: The Writing Center and the Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement. About: The Writing Center provides one-on-one tutoring for WashU graduate and professional for any writing or public speaking project. The Gephardt Institute empowers WashU students to impact their communities and commit to lifelong engaged citizenship.
  • September 15: Center for Career Engagement (CCE). About: The CCE is an integrated hub, providing career coaching and planning; career assessment and skills training and access to a global community of leaders, recruiters, influencer networks and WashU alumni.
  • September 22: Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and WashU Libraries. About: The CTL helps graduate students build pedagogical and technical skills through workshops, events, and other classroom services. WashU Libraries are a powerful network of academic resources featuring nine libraries (seven on the Danforth Campus, one on West Campus and one on the WashU Medical Campus); vast print and electronic collections, and expert librarians whose priority is helping students and faculty find the information they need.
  • September 29: Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) and Dialogue Across Difference (DxD). About: The Center for Diversity and Inclusion fosters support for all and inspires students to build a positive sense of belonging on campus. Dialogue Across Difference prepares students to engage in dialogue across perspectives.
  • October 6: Fall Break. There are no scheduled partners this week, but TGC is still open!
  • October 13: Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS) and Office of International Student Engagement (OISE). About: OISS plays a pivotal role in cultivating a vibrant, intercultural atmosphere on our campus, extending support to international students, scholars, faculty and staff through immigration sponsorship. OISE supports international students by providing a welcoming environment through programming, advocacy, and cultural enrichment.
  • October 20: RSVP Center and the Gender Equity and Title IX Office (GETIXCO). About: The RSVP Center provides support survivors or relationship and sexual violence. The Gender Equity and Title IX Office is committed to responding to discrimination – including sexual harassment and sexual violence – in an effective, timely and transparent manner.
  • October 27: Office of Financial Well-being and the Center for the Humanities. About: The Office of Financial Well-being offers interactive workshops, personalized one-on-one coaching and on-demand digital resources to empower students to develop strong money management skills, navigate financial challenges with clarity and confidence, and build a foundation for lasting financial success. The Center for the Humanities facilitates the labor of humanists by nurturing innovative research, transformative pedagogy, and vibrant community engagement locally and globally.
  • November 3: Tech Den. About: Tech Den empowers students through hands-on technology development and interdisciplinary collaboration, expanding access to experiential learning that strengthens digital skills and prepares them for future-ready careers.
  • November 10: Office of Sustainability and WashU Arboretum. About: The Office of Sustainability leads WashU’s efforts to transform our campus into a living learning laboratory that connects teaching and research directly to sustainable campus operations. The WashU Arboretum makes campus more livable, healthy, and beautiful, benefiting students and the environment as a whole.
  • November 17: Quadrangle Housing. About: Quadrangle Housing manages a variety of off-campus housing options in neighborhoods surrounding WashU. Learn about the leasing process and other off-campus housing resources. 
  • November 24: Thanksgiving Week; no scheduled visitors, but TGC is still open!
